Clear Your Mind of Can't!

Clear Your Mind of Can't!
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
Many times in life when faced with the challenges of overcoming negative circumstances or situations we usually say that "we can't do it, or I don't know if I can do that."
It's amazing that when faced with hardship or adversity what comes out of us is often a negative response, but as believers in Christ Jesus we must learn how to lean on Him, through His words.
Our response as Christians should be the opposite, that "with God's help we can and we will, overcome and win!"
The Amplified Bible reads of Philippians 4:13, "I AM READY FOR ANYTHING AND EQUAL TO ANYTHING THROUGH HIM WHO INFUSES INNER STRENGTH INTO ME; I AM SELF SUFFICIENT IN CHRIST SUFFICIENCY."
So no matter what's on your plate or agenda for today, you can do it! With the help of Jesus Christ, now and forever! Be Blessed Today!

What Time Is It For You?

What Time Is It For You?
Proverbs 3:1-4, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pull up that which was planted: A time to kill, and a time to heal: a time to break down, and a time to build up: a time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance;"
What are you dealing with right now in your life? I"m sure that we all can find ourselves somewhere in this passage of scripture. Time, is the most precious commodity that we have, for it's the one thing in life that we can never recover.
No matter what we are going through right now in life whether it's a good thing or a challenging thing the main thing to remember is that "we are going through it!" and that this too shall pass.
II CORINTHIANS 4:17 -18 reads, "For our light affliction, (which is for a moment) works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory: While we look not at the things that are seen: for the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal."
So you see friends whatever you're dealing with or going through right now is not going to last forever because everything has a season, or a time limit to it, if you're mourning right hold on, hang tight, because laughter is on the way, if you've had a break-down moment in you're life hold on, hang tight, because healing is on the way!
So let's stop focusing on what we're going through and let's focus on where we're going to,
in the middle of what you're going through remember God has a plan for your life, look to him and he'll see you through!

FOR THIS CAUSE!

FOR THIS CAUSE I BOW MY KNEES UNTO THE FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. EPHESIANS 3:14

The other day in our Sunday service I asked the people attending what they had a passion for. In other words, what was the cause they were living for?

Alot of Christians live life without a cause, without a driving force that compels us to live life to the fullest. Everybody needs a cause, everybody needs something greater than themselves to live for too many of us simply exist and go through life just trying to make it through another day.

Every believer needs a "for this cause," every believer needs a something besides bills that wakes us up everyday and sends us out the door into a life that is full of the monotony of an everyday same old day.

It's God's will that you live life to the full until it overflows but in order to do that you need a passion or a cause that will drive you and motivate you to a life of service and to a life of fulfillment. Many Christians go through life viewing it through drab colors when God wants you to see life through a prism of the bright and beautiful colors of the rainbow.

My cause is the ministry of God's word and to teach a greater understanding of God's word. My cause is to cultivate my marriage and grow old together with my wife. My cause is to raise good children who will love God and serve Him the balance of their days. My cause is to take the message of God's love and redemption to a lost and dying world. My cause is to lead people to victory in Christ Jesus helping them to overcome the enemy of their soul.

These are my causes, what are yours?

Think about it, you'll be glad you did!

Making it on Broken Pieces!

"And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship, And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land." Acts 27:44

Apostle Paul was on his way to Rome by ship to stand before Caesar to answer the charges leveled against him by the Religious Jews who sought his demise. Paul had just finished a fast and received a word from the Lord about the trip they were about to take, during the trip he predicted that they would incur harm to the ship & even their lives could be in danger, he told this to the Roman Centurion in charge & he refused to heed Paul's warning, believing the ships captain instead & they set out toward Rome.

During their trip they found themselves all of a sudden in the midst of a great storm that battered the ship very badly endangering them all, they managed to survive the storm but later on in their journey they ran their ship aground and the ship was stuck on sandbars with the front of the ship stuck and the rear of the ship was broken by the waves of the sea.

As the ship began to be destroyed the Rome Solderswere going to kill the prisoners (including Paul) but the Centurion (who now believed his story) sought to save Paul's life commanded those who could swim, to swim and the rest to make it to shore on the "broken pieces of the ship."

What about you today, has the ship of your soul run aground in the treacherous waters of life, and do you now find yourself in the midst of those waters trying to make it to the shores of peace? If you answered yes, you're not alone many believers right now are in the midst of the shipwreck of life, some trying to swim to shore using all their energy, while others who can't swim are just trying to make it on the "broken pieces," of their faith in God.

I want to encourage you today that whether you swim to shore or you're trying to make it to the shore of "peace" by hanging on to the broken pieces of your faith, you're going to make it! I know that it might seem like everything is breaking up around you I'm releasing my faith with yours declaring that you will get safely to to shore of peace, just as Paul and all 215 men on that ship made it safely to shore.

Remember this, even in the midst of the ship running aground they made it safe to land, you're going to make it, whether it's through your finances, your marriage, your children, your job, your health, your whatever you're going to make it safely to shore. Paul made it shore and eventually made it to Rome, and I say to you you're going to make to your destination too!

Are You Rich in Good Works?

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate." I Timothy 6:18.

All of us lead busy lives. We are always on the go and we always have something to do, work, school, shopping, after school activities for our children and so on and so forth. Yes we are always going from place to place doing something.

In all of our doing the question must be asked, "are we rich in good works?" In other words with all of our busyness are we doing those things that really count, are we doing good works that make a lasting impact upon people, or are we simply concerned about what we have to do and where we're trying to go.

If we're open to it there is always something we can do or somebody we can help that takes us out of ourselves and beyond our own needs. The main thing God is interested in is not what have you done for yourself but, how many people have you helped and ministered to.

Will you be able to give Him a satisfactory answer? I hope so.

Count your Blessings!

"You are blessed of the Lord who made heaven and earth." Psalms 115:15

When I was a boy growing up in the Baptist Church, we would sing a song that would go like this; "count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings, see what the Lord has done." It wasn’t until I became a man that I really understood what that song was trying to convey.

So many times we focus on what we don’t have, instead of the blessings we do have. We are always believing God for this, that, or the other, that we don’t really stop to thank our Heavenly Father for the many blessings we enjoy.

I was recently sick with an ear infection (I hated it!) and I was feeling very uncomfortable, I went to a Wal-Mart to get some medicine and as I was coming out my eyes connected with a man in a wheel chair who had no legs and was wanting people to give him money (which I did).
Right then and there as I made my way to my truck, I began to thank God for all His blessings in my life! Even though I had an ear infection I was blessed and better off then him.

Remember the old saying; "I complained about not having shoes, until I saw a man that had no feet."

Take a moment right now and just tell the Lord "thank you!" For all your Blessings in my life! And how much you appreciate His goodness unto you!
